Experiential Learning, Service Learning, and NMHU Strategic GoalsThis three-part interactive seminar begins with an overview of experiential and problem-based learning, then specifically outlines the history of service learning in U.S. institutions. The second part explores current implementations of service learning and related high impact learning experiences with respect to curriculum, and reviews Best Practices in Service Learning. The final part of the seminar involves mind mapping exercises with respect to the NMHU Strategic goals, and assessment strategies. Participants will leave with action plans for service-learning implementation.
